The onslaught of news makes it hard to keep track of who’s doing what. Here’s a one-stop glance at 3Fold news from this summer.
Good Stuff
Call us optimistic, or call us strategic about celebrating the wins and harvesting the victories our team experiences. Good Stuff is a core tenant of our culture and every Monday our whole team celebrates “good stuff” from the past week. We think that recognizing the positives in our lives—large and small, personal and professional–is important. Here are a few highlights from this season.
Vacations
Summer presents a common conundrum for businesses: how do you integrate vacation time while maintaining a consistent workflow and producing excellent work? Vacations definitely make scheduling a little more complicated and some on our team were feeling guilty for taking much-needed time off. So, we tackled the tough question of how can you disconnect and rejuvenate without leaving your team in the lurch. We believe that regular breaks—which include fully disconnecting from work—are vital to maintaining a creative, energized, and engaged team. Our system of preparing for and returning from vacations has helped team members feel confident they can be fully present with their families while on vacation, know work won’t interrupt them, and be assured it won’t be piled sky high when they return. If you need to make small talk with anyone from 3Fold, just ask about their summer vacation! Although we’re far from perfect, we are delighted to report that nearly all of our team members took a real vacation this summer!
Launched video for Hill Electric
This summer saw the launch of a major video for Hill Electric, a local industrial electrical contractor. This relationship-focused business was a great candidate for video content, and Mike Davis, the CEO, proved to be quite compelling on camera. Check out the video on Hill’s homepage. Congratulations, Mike on your internet debut! We’re proud to have been part of it.
MAP & Brand work
We enjoyed completing brand strategy work and a Marketing Action Plan (MAP) for a local accounting and advisory firm. Thorough strategic work in branding and marketing planning has proven extremely valuable for a number of our clients, especially those in a transition period. Look for case studies about these transition success stories on our portfolio soon!
New babies!
We’re excited to publicly congratulate Justin Pidcock, our Director of Digital Marketing, who welcomed a baby boy to his family this summer, and Andrea Huerta, Account Coordinator at our sister agency, UMG, who welcomed a baby girl to her family. As we write this post, Ramon Nieves, UMG Principal and CEO, is anxiously awaiting the arrival of his first child. Growth isn’t just for businesses. Sippy cups anyone?
Around the Office
Welcoming a local student
Giving back to the community came with a fresh face this summer as a local high school student shadowed Justin for two weeks as part of her capstone project. She was with us for an entire sprint cycle, getting an inside look at agency life as she attended Jedi, stand-ups, and observed a number of other meetings, in addition to observing Justin’s day-to-day responsibilities. We enjoyed having a new perspective in the office and like to think we’re helping to grow the next generation in our industry.
Getting social
We’ve been busy on Facebook sharing tips, insights, and ideas that we’ve previously reserved for just our team. It’s a great time to follow us, if you don’t already. We also share blog posts, job openings, and other announcements. Recently, our 3Fold CEO, Tim Joiner, was invited as a guest on CEO on the Go. Check out his golf cart ride around Greenville and the interesting questions he was asked here.
Wrapping Up
It’s been a busy and wonderful summer! We’re excited to reset and dive into more projects as our clients think about launching new endeavors before end of year. We’re also busy planning for 2019 for ourselves and our clients, but more on that next time. Here’s to a great fall full of happy clients, college football, pumpkin spice lattes, and growth for all of us!
