Bob Jones University is a Christian liberal arts university in Greenville, SC. BJU is in a period of transition, updating its identity, undertaking huge projects (including accreditation), and adjusting to the changes in both their current and prospective students. The University encompasses a myriad of sub-brands (departments, funds, etc.), all of which require extensive marketing work, both online and in print. All of those sub-brands must consistently represent the larger BJU brand, while developing a unique brand of their own.
3Fold was initially hired to maintain a small set of web properties, but over the years, the work progressed into content development and now to large-scale strategic partnership. As word spread about our work, departments across the university have engaged with us. Most notably, we serve on retainer for the Office of Advancement and, though not on retainer, regularly support the Center for Learning and Academic Success. In those engagements and others, we’ve completed many projects, including website management, building new websites, developing digital content (emails, blog posts, etc.), and designing print pieces.
In the time that we’ve partnered with BJU, we’re delighted to have seen them successfully navigate a transition of presidents, a significant brand/image overhaul, and a bid for accreditation. On a smaller scale, we’ve seen departments doing the hard work of transitioning leadership, streamlining services, and updating materials to better serve students. The Office of Advancement saw a 2.7% increase in alumni donations from 2016 to 2017, an encouraging trend for a core source of the university’s funding.
“I want to thank you and your team for jumping in and helping my team. . . . We needed a key partner to help us in advancement. I have thanked the Lord often for you and the team. I value and appreciate our relationship.”
– John Matthews, Vice President for Advancement
